Students are assessed at the end of two years of study by written examinations. The written examinations are in the form of three papers at both Standard and Higher Level:

Paper 1 Multiple Choice Questions
Paper 2 Data-based questions as well as short answer and extended response questions
Paper 3 Several short answer questions on each of the two option studies

The weighting and length of each exam is shown below.
